FIRST
iFACE Night
From the very first day of its birth, we raised this cherished initiative as Iranian—proud of its heritage, confident in its history, and hopeful for its future. IFACE has always thought globally, acted globally, and paved new paths that inspired dozens of distinguished individuals both inside and outside of Iran. Many returned from IFACE programs and went on to establish its counterparts in their own countries. Yet throughout all these years, IFACE has proudly remained rooted in Iran, loving this country deeply, and will continue to do so—with the hope that one day the IFACE Surgical Lab will be launched here in Iran.
We have demonstrated that, contrary to what some tried to instill in us over the years, knowledge can indeed be created and taught. We take pride in teaching the knowledge we ourselves have generated.
This year, 120 participants from across Iran attended the IFACE Dinner. Witnessing such magnificence was a deeply moving moment, one that brought me repeatedly to the verge of tears.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who helped create this remarkable evening. It was an honor for Hamid and me to stand among the IFACE family—both those who joined us in person and those who could not be present.
You may not have been part of IFACE, and you may even disagree with our policies. Yet if you are thirsty for progress, for opening new paths, for creating opportunities, for engaging with the world, and if you love Iran—then in our eyes, you are an IFACER, even if not formally part of it.
IFACE is not merely a brand. IFACE is a way of thinking.
The most profound absence on this beautiful night was Hamid’s presence. We look forward to the day when borders are broken, distances erased, lives united, and we continue together in Iran.
We thank all who stood with us, as well as those who stood against us and, in doing so, made us even more determined. We are not perfect, but we constantly strive to improve—and this is the essence and spirit of being alive.
IFACE did not wait for light in the depths of darkness; it became the light and shone.
And indeed, light has no meaning without the surrounding darkness.
May we always remain in the light.
